Minnesota cops can be really nice... if you're cool they are cool. Downtown Saint Paul has an airport called Homans Field... road are never driven at night. Nice restaurant there called Homans Table... I fly in there alot.

When the cop is not clocking you straight ahead of him, he is not measuring your true speed, it is your relative speed. Speed and velocity are not the same. If he is 50' to your left, he is measuring your.speed relative to his position. This introduces what is called the error of parallax. This is all factual. And you could argue the inaccuracy of his measurement in court. Just leave out the fact that the error is in the cops favor. His measurement is less than your true speed. Shhhhh.

The sad part of this whole thing is that all these videos keep surfacing on the internet of exotic cars being pulled over for speeding and the driver claims he was not or how could he have seen us going that fast. There needs to be an independent test done where a police officer working for the government drives and exotic car just slightly over the limit or at the limit to see if the cop lies aboiut the speed he was going to verify if the cop was telling the truth. This was we will know if it is a cash grab by the state or if cops are biased towards the owners of exotic cars.

Maybe when you go to the cities maybe you should check on what the law is and get it in writing and then when the accounts pull you over you can flash it in their face and say hey I've already checked out the laws that'll get them

First off... I’m not a cop... but I’m the son, brother and brother in law of 3 cops. (Dad is retired) ... news flash... most cops are not assholes... but they quickly can become one if a bunch of people get on the phone and start saying “this car or bunch of cars blew by me at triple digit speed”. If you don’t want to attract attention slow down as you approach cars and only go by them 15-20 mph faster than they are going. When the cops start getting a bunch of calls, this is what cops call “radio control cops” and they lose their temper pretty quick! Like I said slow down as ur passing and then when you go by you slowly start accelerating away from them and they won’t be getting on the phone as much. I live in the twin city metro area and I know exactly where you guys were. Second thing about the laser... I’ve been on ride alongs hundreds of times and I’ve screwed around with the lasers, they have sights kind of like a rifle scope. They point it at something reflective like headlights, taillight, license plate or whatever and if they can hold it steady for a fraction of a second... ur busted!!! The readout says how many feet, yards meters etc and the speed and as far as a judge is concerned it’s better than radar. The only problem is that they can’t do it when they are moving because it won’t give a speed unless they can hold it steady so they have to be sitting and not wiggle for a fraction of a second. If they can hold it steady enough they can pick you off a mile away. Like a hunting scope, the further away you are the harder it is to hold steady. Hopefully these few crumbs of wisdom will help you out. I regularly go triple digit speeds and haven’t had a ticket since 1996 because I know when to go fast and I don’t blow by people at high speed.
